What is memU?
memU is a free and open-source agent-focused memory system that keeps track of all of your memories at once across multiple shared LLM. It does that across sessions, agents, devices and apps in all one single solution.
memU remembers prompts, skills, workflow, your agent history, and tracks all of your agent related operations across many systems
The system supports Codex, Claude Code, Curser, OpenClaw, Hermes, WorkBuddy, and dozen more agent-centered solutions.
It uses 3 different systems as backend: SQLite, PostgreSQL, inMemory database.
What does it do?
Basically: memorize and reterive.
